Writing poetry created a natural transition for an analytical minded person. This shift in mindset helped to manage the life created through growing up without a father, being a Co-Survivor of breast cancer and maintaining a loving relationship.  Poetry provided a solution to release every emotion and thought in the pursuit of peace.

On Father’s Day 2020, Sy released his first collection of poetry in the book Fatherless.  This compilation of poems exposed the pain, outcomes and scars left from a journey of existing without a consistent male role model.  During the Covid-19 pandemic Sy continued to release literature regarding the impact of breast cancer and the Power of Love.
