Heart Brings

Deepened in curiosity
I started to wonder
What does the heart bring
There is a sense of misery
Monuments imprisoned
Every negative thing
That could be a thing
Solidified in every memory
It is what the heart brings

Shadowed in mystery
I began to ponder
What does the heart bring
Beauty, simplicity
Eye of the beholder
See things with more reverence
Each day I grow older
And I marvel in sheer delight
Blessed by a commoner’s sight
It is what the heart brings

Opened in secrecy
I commenced to consider
What does the heart bring
Disappointment in droves
Experienced betrayal and loss
Receiving lies, the highest cost
Noticing nuisances of individuals
As perception changes, it’s subliminal
Hardened to protect the spiritual
It is what the heart brings

Conceived in reciprocity
I arose to contemplate
What does the heart bring
That unequivocal bond of wholeness
Recognizing every light that shines
Releasing the power of the mind
Cultivating the inner being of self
Loving unconditionally oneself
Loving love above all love
It is what the heart brings
