When the phone does not vibrate

There is so much anxiety

Wondering did I say enough

Maybe I shared too much

Insecurity of the situation being revealed

Then suddenly I see a Hey You

And I know YOU are still here

Blessed to know that YOU care

Not sure what I’d do if I lost YOU

Can I just have this moment with YOU????

Wanting to be there

If I could take one kind step

With everything I had left

Would it be enough

I just need to share this with you

The YOU filled with optimism

The YOU that perseveres

That indescribable YOU

That indestructible YOU

Wanting more than I need

It is a simple ancient belief

The more knowledge you gain

The more ignorance is revealed

There is nothing anyone could have said

I know I can bond quickly or not at all

But in all cases it is within my control

Until YOU stayed on repeat

The language is exactly the same

Yet without notice things changed

A sudden bolt of energy

Like lightning crackling

Consuming the midnight sky
